Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) points will be credited to all attendees of scientific sessions and workshops. A total of 15 Continuing Education Units (CEU) will be accredited for full attendance of the relevant congress sessions, including the pre-congress workshops on Wednesday the 23rd June 2017. The CPD credits have been obtained through the Wits Health Consortium.

Facilitation Process

A streamlined process for CPD facilitation at the PathReD 2017 Congress will be provided by Discovery Health. Discovery Health uses hand-held scanners to log the CPD data and store it on the website www.mycpd.co.za. Each delegate who requires CEU credits will receive a bar-coded nametag that has the relevant information for the logging of data.

Allocation of Points

A point-to-point allocation of CEU credits will be done as you attend each session. The hand held scanner is used to scan the bar-coded nametag and allocate the deserved credits to your name and for certification. Data is uploaded to the website daily and delegates can log in and retrieve their CEU certificates.

Certification

The CPD certificates can be downloaded from the website www.mycpd.co.za usually within 7 to 10 working days after the congress closes by following the steps below:
  • Go to www.mycpd.co.za
  • Log in to the secure section with your username and password. (Please note: passwords are case sensitive).
  • You will see a list of active and archived points. Select active points to view and print your certificate.

Enquiries

After the congress, queries can be emailed to CPD@discovery.co.za and “PathReD 2017” must be in the subject field of the email in order for the queries to be resolved.
